Happy Halloween all you spooky scary skeletons. Or for those of you who aren’t in a place that celebrates, Happy Thursday. I will admit Halloween and Christmas are my favorite holidays because I love to decorate for them both. This year the yard is not as decorated as it has been in the past thanks to hurricanes and the fact that I did not clearly label my decorations so I have no idea which one has all my spooky decorations. I couldn’t let today pass with out some nod to the day so I went with a witchy vibe.

I think the scariest thing about this whole picture is that I am looking an arcane library looking for a spell to do something. Will it be something nefarious or something curative? Honestly I think it depends on whether I have had enough coffee to make me a nice person to be around. Speaking of that I should go and get more into me before I turn into a total ghoul for the day!

I know, I know I have been very quiet lately. I have been so overwhelmed with my non-digital life that I don’t know where to start. I haven’t been slacking though I swear. I have a bunch of ideas and photos to get to so yay! Right now I would love nothing more than to hide from my non-digital life and when I saw this mouth tape thing one weekend I knew I needed it.

I mean honestly who wouldn’t want to tell reality to take a flying leap? Also you can tell I am not feeling myself because there is an abundance of pink in this post! I think I took a ton of picture when wearing this look because I was loving the way the light was reflecting(?) off the lenses of the glasses. Of course they went clear when I got all up in my face. I shall leave you with the credits for now as I get back to work on all these ideas.

Feigned Innocence

I have been told that no one really believes that I am sweet and innocent. Everyone seems to be able to agree to the sweet part (boy do I have them fooled), but no one seems to think I am innocent. I mean just because I might look like I have a secret side doesn’t mean I do!

Could someone who takes such awkward pictures not be innocent? I don’t know where I am going with any of this as I am writing it late on Sunday and my brain has taken the weekend off. I think the point of this post was that I am sweet, innocent and my favorite color is yellow if you couldn’t guess that bit.

Fish, Chips and Call the Midwife

Recently I have been re-binge-watching Call the Midwife, mostly because I forgot where I had left of and decided to start over again. It reminded me that I had this look lurking in my outfits folder for a while. You see when I was sorting my inventory at some point I put this dress on and I thought it made me look pregnant, but pregnant in the 60’s. Now the Call the Midwife memory jog makes sense if you have ever seen the show.

Since the show takes place in England I thought fish and chips would be the perfect pregnancy craving. Maybe not the healthiest, but way more normal than some other cravings I have heard about. Ironically when I was pregnant in my non-digital life I craved certain things which ended up being some of my kids favorite foods. My first kiddo LOVES Reece’s peanut butter cups and Reece’s Pieces, while pregnant with them I always wanted a sundae with those toppings. With my second it was peach iced tea and Apple Jacks cereal, both of which that kid LOVES. Has that been the case with anyone else out there? Enough of my non-digital prattle, onto the credits!

The Witches – Earth Witch

While I may see a lot of three-person witch poses (think Charmed and the power of three) I wanted to go for more of a The Craft vibe with the four directions/four elements. Today being the first of the four with my Earth Witch look. I wanted a more modern look for my witches, which is why she doesn’t look like the kind you would have found at the witch trials in Salem.

What I did forget was that my witch doesn’t have a familiar with her. I was trying to think of what sort of animal would be helpful to an earth witch. In the book I am currently reading the earth witch has a crow for a familiar and while a crow would be a very dark and appropriate it seems it would be better for an air witch, what with it flying and all. I was thinking maybe a scorpion or a snake. I think a snake would be better, and potentially just as deadly as a scorpion depending on the snake.

The Wedding Guest

In my last post I talked about my drive to Georgia for a wedding. The part I left pout was that while I was present for the ceremony I missed out on most of the reception. I mean I was at the venue, but I missed out on all the usual activities like the cake cutting and dancing. Why you may ask, well it’s because I was focused on being a good person to someone who needed a friend, and some distraction. I did drink my fair share of gin and tonics and got some of the cake though to there was that!

Prior to the wedding I went through at least half a dozen different dress options trying to find one that would be comfortable and look good too. Had I known that I would be feast on by mosquitos I would have worn a pantsuit instead! I would have had such an easier time dressing for this wedding if I could have reached into SL and pulled out dresses that way. Oh well.

I promise the Barbie blond and pink combination will be out of my system with this last post. In all fairness it was supposed to be posted two weeks ago, but someone took a spill and hurt themselves. Graceful I am not, so here we are two weeks late with my final Barbie inspired look.

Blond hair and pink are not my favorite things if we are being honest. In my non-digital life my hair is usually a shade of purple or a berry red color, never blond. And well I haven’t been a fan of pink since primary school (nope not telling you how long ago that was). Anyway here I am with my vacant Barbie stare. See ya later!

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate today and Happy Thursday (or whatever day it is you are looking at this). I know I have been lax in my postings lately, but RL has been a busy one this year, in good and not so good ways. Since it is Thanksgiving for me I thought I would share what I am thankful for this year. I am thankful for my family, and that my dad is still with us and fighting his cancer. To be completely honest we didn’t think he would make it to Thanksgiving, but we are more than grateful that he is. Friends, who are there for me during the rough and dark times and there to celebrate all the wonderful moments with me as well. I am thankful for the good fortune that allows me to have a roof over my head and food in my belly. Oh and my cats, all four of them. Even the little kitten who has left no part of my unscratched. And coffee, because without that I would get even less done in a day, and be a terrible crank while not doing anything. Last, but certainly not least I am thankful for you! If no one has told you today that they love you and are happy to have you in their life, well consider it done. I love you and am happy you are here!

Whenever I head to Disney World I try to dress with a character in mind. It may be super vague to anyone who sees me, but at least I know who I am trying to channel. Luckily in SL I don’t have to worry about wandering the park in heels all day, something you couldn’t pay me enough to do IRL. If you couldn’t guess by my look I am channeling my inner Minnie Mouse. Now I would not suggest wearing long sleeves in FL in the middle of summer, especially there as there is no ocean breeze so it gets so grossly hot.

So this is what happens when two friends get high together, silly photos and fun ensue. I mean to be fair it was already 4/20 for one of us and it wasn’t me. Though by the time we parted it was for both of us, so there is that. Now I know there are some out there that from on the use of jazz cabbage, but no one needs that kind of negativity in their life.
