Yes I did add an unnecessary rounded edge to my photo today. I thought it went well with the beachy vibe of the photo. And yes I know my posting have been erratic, but that is because the non-digital version of my has a wonky avatar and is dealing with a bit more pain than my usual chronic level. That being said my downtime has given me a lot of time to think of photos and themes.

Of course I am wearing yellow, I mean is there a better color for summer? It’s the color of lemonade and the sunshine. And if you are new here yellow also happens to be my favorite color so you will probably see it a lot.

I needed to add one more picture so you could get a little better view of my nails. Also I just wanted to pretend to be at the beach just a little longer. It’s one of the few things I miss about living in the south, my proximity to the beach. Now onto the credits!

Dodging Suitors

“When will it end”, she thought to herself out on the balcony. Another night, another ball and another chance for her father to try and make a “proper” match for her. Sure being the daughter of a nobleman has it’s benefits, but being paraded around for men to make an offer on is definitely not one of them.

She knows she can’t hide out on the balcony all night, as much as she would prefer that. She is required to make an appearance, even if it is brief, or as brief as she can make it. Maybe next time I should hide out in the library, at least if someone finds me there they may hiding as well, or just prefer books to people, both of which I am okay with.

“At the very least my jewels are fantastic”, she thought as she made her way back into the ballroom.

A Strawberry Moon

Tonight’s a full moon known as a Strawberry Moon, so I needed to do a whole strawberry look, without being an actual strawberry. Well in all honesty I saw this dress for sale and it made me think of a sweet strawberry treat, and then I learned about the full moon so I may have delayed posting it until now.

Even my little friend is excited for some strawberries. I have been baking with strawberries recently and I can’t seem to get enough. I wish I had something more exciting to type but my brain is Monday fried. On to the credits!

Interstellar Mornings

Even bad ass alien mechanics need their morning coffee fix. It’s one thing we have in common. If you were wondering yes, these are more goodies from this years Fantasy Faire, but fear not, I did make sure it was available in stores now.

I love the way the blinds on the windows added green stripes to my skin. When I was styling my alien I asked a friend what color she should be they said ” Blue, like an Asari from Mass Effect”. Well having never played Mass Effect I had to look up what they looked like. I of course had to add my own spin to it.

I just had to add this photo because I love the swirly rainbowy sky. I will leave here so like this blue badass I need some coffee in my face.

Today is the last day to get your faire on if you haven’t already, which means it’s also the last chance you have to finish the quest. If you are just wanting all the goodies there is the express HUD that will let you bypass the questing part and bring you straight to all the goodies that will flood your inventory. That is part of the reason mine needs some serious sort time now!

The quest started off innocent enough, here I am with a lovely orchard behind me. And before you ask, I did use a brighter sky than the region settings because I need bright light to see anything.

This bus stop gave me a little shiver as it reminded me of the chaos bus rides I have taken through the fairelands in past years. Unfortunately or fortunately I was out of town for this yeas ride of doom.

While out questing I ran into Tyr from Flying Horse Head. I think next year I may just stake out the quest sim to see how many creators and world builder I can find. I also picked up a hitchhiker along the way. I have an affinity for cardinals because they remind me of my grandparents who have passed.

While on the quest sim I cam across these nightmare inducing…wolves? Whatever they are they are a big NOPE from me!

Here I am with the treasure chest. Which is not the only treasure you can get while questing at the faire, you can make new friends!

For instance here I am with my new bunneh friend after we finished one of the sim based quests. What can I say I really wanted a little baby kitsune.

I was able to catch a little jail n bail action last week. I won’t say which I donation kiosk I was filling as I would not want to implicate myself one way or the other.

No critter was safe from being jailed! Another one of my favorite events at the faire are the Masked Balls. I was able to get one really good picture before my computer said “we are done here ma’am”.

I am there front and center in the golden-y dress. There will be a lot more posts with goodies from the faire coming up, time was not on my side this year, but to be faire there are/were so many wonderful goodies to be got. This is your last call for the fairelands before they vanish into the mists for another year so DO NOT WAIT!

Getting Ready

Time for a glow up. Well maybe not a glow up since I am already fabulous. I have a deep love for all things art deco, though to be honest it’s mostly art deco jewelry, but hone decor is right up there.

There is something so satisfying about having a cohesive looking area, but that just may be my need to have everything neat and organized. I will be talking about that in a later Fantasy Faire post because hoo boy that quest had so many wonderful rewards. Which reminds me you have one more day to get the quest done, and you can even pay to speed run it!

I just needed you all to see the fabulous shimmer in my hair. That is a natural shimmer and not glitter or anything like that. It’s just my sparling personality shining through.

WTF Record Vol.2

Last week was a busy week for your intrepid reporter. There is so much to see and do and well, I am easily distracted.

I saw a giant goose so of course I needed a picture with it.

I adopted a new companion while I was out seeing what there was. It’s a fire creature, of course it had to come home with me. I am still workshopping names, Ember, Blaze and George are all in the running at the moment.

I made my way over to the FaireChylde for a little dance session with all sorts of creatures big and small. You really have to watch out for the small ones, especially when exploring. I did accidently bump into one myself, but I was quick to apologize.

I followed up the dance party with a roleplay watching, The Squires of Garland were on a quest. I followed them through it all that day, getting lost only once.

The giant spider wanted an offering of sorts and something needed to go into the chalice. With help from those around them they were able to make the chalice glow!

Once the squires retired for the day it was off to see a performance. I was just in time to see the Officina Dancers. I am not going to lie, after all the running around I had done it was nice to sit down for a bit.

Nothing like seeing someone floating through the air while playing a violin. All their scenes and everything were so pretty. I took so many pictures, but I won’t overwhelm you with them all so I will just pick a couple more favorites.

And finally I am back at it again trying to find creators out and about in the fairelands, but NOT at an event. I know I like to make things hard for myself. The first person I ran into was Raven Bell of Raven Bell.

Fingers crossed I can stalk…I mean find more creators to take photos with. Also I am really short it seems, oh well.

Not Quite the Worst Witch

One must always learn the ways of the ones before them to be able to create newness, or so I assume. I really don’t pay attention in spell lessons. Apparently following the vibes is frowned upon in certain circles, no pun intended.

My study space may lean more lunar goddess-y, but I am a well rounded witch. I have my crystals and my carved statues that provide my link to the earth. Or that is what I believe my professor said. I just thought they were pretty so I decorated my study space with them.

Now I need to go work on my book of shadows because it is not in fact a book to draw pictures of my favorite shadows in. I need to go study my spells and put the ones I created into the book because I guess they don’t count if I don’t write them down?

I Want to Break Free

I realized as I am looking at these photos that the idea for them was a silly playful one, but maybe subconsciously it was a metaphor for my current state. When I was taking these pictures there was something in my life I felt trapped by and I have now broken free. It was someone who I felt was keeping me trapped and draining my life away. Sorry if this is too deep for a Monday, but coffee will make me a little verbose sometimes.

I will keep my rambling to a minimum now and just let the photos do all the talking.

Now that I am free it’s time to remove this infection from me!

Driving Miss Wally

When you have little legs walking around the fairlands can be exhausting so Miss Wally decided to hop in her cute little car for a jaunt. Being the responsible kitty she is, she made sure she was wearing her big sun hat to prevent a furry sun burn. Now you may be looking at Miss Wally and asking yourself why does she have a man’s name, well that is because Wally is short for Walnut and she was styled after a very infamous kitty. Just wait till the end to meet the real Wally.

After all the exploring Miss Wally was very tired so she chose her favorite spot in the house to curl up for a little nap. And while I was attempting to get her to look at me for a photo she had her own thoughts on the subject, as kitties are want to do.
