Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate today and Happy Thursday (or whatever day it is you are looking at this). I know I have been lax in my postings lately, but RL has been a busy one this year, in good and not so good ways. Since it is Thanksgiving for me I thought I would share what I am thankful for this year. I am thankful for my family, and that my dad is still with us and fighting his cancer. To be completely honest we didn’t think he would make it to Thanksgiving, but we are more than grateful that he is. Friends, who are there for me during the rough and dark times and there to celebrate all the wonderful moments with me as well. I am thankful for the good fortune that allows me to have a roof over my head and food in my belly. Oh and my cats, all four of them. Even the little kitten who has left no part of my unscratched. And coffee, because without that I would get even less done in a day, and be a terrible crank while not doing anything. Last, but certainly not least I am thankful for you! If no one has told you today that they love you and are happy to have you in their life, well consider it done. I love you and am happy you are here!

We had an uninvited guest join us on our camping adventure. Needless to say we didn’t stick around to find out if he was after us, our food, or if he just wanted a spot to eat his tasty honeycomb. Whenever I head to Disney World I try to dress with a character in mind. It may be super vague to anyone who sees me, but at least I know who I am trying to channel. Luckily in SL I don’t have to worry about wandering the park in heels all day, something you couldn’t pay me enough to do IRL. If you couldn’t guess by my look I am channeling my inner Minnie Mouse. Now I would not suggest wearing long sleeves in FL in the middle of summer, especially there as there is no ocean breeze so it gets so grossly hot.

Yes I am back yet again. It seems like just when I start to get back to things something comes up and knocks me back a few steps. This time it was Covid. I got walloped hard by it and am still waiting to get my sense of taste back. For the record not being able to taste things is the worst diet trick ever! And if that wasn’t enough I had house guests right afterwards! So right now I am feeling like answering every request for my time with a resounding “Nope!”

Decking the Halls

In the non-digital part of my life my house has been decked out for Christmas since a little before Thanksgiving. That may seem early to some, but after the craziness of the last two years I will do almost anything to make the days cheerful. I don’t have a perfect looking tree like this one, not even close! It’s actually covered with random ornaments collected over the years, each one representing something I love or something that happened. This year the ornament I bought shows that everyone in the house is vaccinated, compared to last years where everyone is wearing a mask. Now you know a little more about how I celebrate Christmas.

Don’t Eat My House!

Now I am no witch, but I do have a gingerbread house. What you never thought about living in a giant cookie? Sure there are issues in the summer with the heat and all,  but in the winter it is a dream. Whenever the fire is going the house smells amazing! Sure every once in a while I have to chase off a child who thinks my house is just a snack, but that happens much less often now. Okay maybe chasing kids off is how I got the reputation of being a witch, but I swear on my little gingerbread friends life I have never and will never eat any children, not even sugar babies (they are gross).

I was introduced to the song by my youngest offspring and the minute I heard it I got this idea in my head. I drew some inspiration from the music video as well.
