First Day at the Faire

I am going to start by showcasing the most talked about cow in all the fairelands and then moooove onto my adventures. Sorry I couldn’t pass up the chance at that pun. Now when I arrived at Fairelands Junction I followed the path to see the Worldlings since they are one of my favorite things. I have plans for a special photo with those later so stay tuned. I think I wandered counter clockwise as my faire alter ego of the day Emogene the Emo Elf.

As I was wandering I came across a bunch of dragon hatchlings, but I wasn’t about to stick around to see if the mama or papa would be returning soon. I didn’t want to be dragon chow before the faire really got going!

I continued on my way, and as I wandered I decided to play a special game. It was called “How many times can I mess up?”, and I decided to count the number of times I got lost, crashed, or just fell through things. For the record I was there for blogger day which is before the faire opens to everyone so there were growing pains that caused falling into spaces (only 4 times!) Now some fairelands are not for the faint of heart, or being high as a kite. I had surgery on my hip a little over a week ago so pain meds are my friends.

You can see how something like this would mess with your head. It still freaks me out a little if I am being honest. Now when I was at the fair there were a few sims that were still dressing and asked for no photos and I had to respect their wishes so there are some sims that will be a complete surprise. Then again so will these since I didn’t tell you which ones they are. Think of it as a special little scavenger hunt to keep you entertained as you shop and wait for the quest to begin!

There is one sim that has a genie and man that one was giving me issues. I am pretty sure the genie cursed my computer because every time I tried to get a photo of him my computer would glitch and crash (total number of cursed crashes 5). So I cheated and used a different computer and got a picture and then everything was fine. For the record it was an issue with my computer and not the sim.

You didn’t think I would not post a picture of the genie did you? After completing my battle with the genie I adventured onwards some more. I only got lost a three times which I think is a record low for me. Yes there are paths you can follow so you doing get lost, but I am likely to get distracted by anything that catches my eye and I wander off the path. A big bad wolf would have a field day with me, luckily I didn’t run into any of them…yet.

I don’t know what this fairy was going through, but man I was starting to feel her. As I stated earlier I had hip surgery recently so getting tuckered out is easy to do. Next week I will have a full round up of all the things I have done during the first week of the faire so stay tuned for that. Oh and let me know if you spot any of the places from my photos!

I wasn’t kidding when I said I was bringing the 80’s back. When I saw these cheer outfits from Dead Doll I automatically knew I needed a Toni Basil moment. For those of you who are youngun’s Toni Basil had a hit with the song “Mickey” which featured cheerleaders. While these pieces were released a bit ago it sometimes takes time to get three people together for pictures.

So this is what happens when two friends get high together, silly photos and fun ensue. I mean to be fair it was already 4/20 for one of us and it wasn’t me. Though by the time we parted it was for both of us, so there is that. Now I know there are some out there that from on the use of jazz cabbage, but no one needs that kind of negativity in their life. Just say no to Captain Buzzkill. All kidding aside I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful day whether you blaze up or not.

For a change the photo came before the song lyrics, it just popped into my head as I was taking the pictures. I feel like I am missing a pumpkin spice latte in this picture, but since I really don’t like them it’s okay. I will take a peppermint mocha though.

Autumn isn’t over yet

I think it was back in September or maybe early October when I watched a movie called Autumn Leaves starring Joan Crawford, and there was a song with the same title in it. For some reason the line ” I miss you most of all when autumn leaves start to fall” really stuck with me. Maybe I was missing someone that day or something and that is why it stuck. Either way it inspired these photos that I am sharing today.

It makes me laugh a little because in my digital life I am more willing to be blond than I am in my non digital life. Then again the non digital version of me currently has purple hair so…honestly I don’t know where that train of thought was headed so I am just going to leave you with the credits.

That is what I have been doing the last couple of months, along with watching a lot of Netflix and playing games on my iPad. As I had mentioned earlier in the summer I was heading towards hip surgery and it happened in the end of August. I of course naively thought I would be back at my computer in no time at all. I was so very wrong! I am however now able to log into SL for long-ish periods of time so hopefully I will get back into the swing of things again soon. I bought this outfit with this librarian look in mind way back when. You will be seeing a few posts like this as I catch up with some of the ideas that have popped into my head. I am rambling so I will just add the credits and hopefully post again soon!

Donut Make Me Laugh

I love a good challenge, so when I read that the Blogger Vlogger Network was going to be doing weekly challenges I was ready to go. Besides a week gives me enough time to get stuff done. It’s Fry Day!

According to my planner today is French Fry Day and I couldn’t let this day pass without a photo to commemorate it.

I mustache you if you like fries. Now I am curious, where are your favorite fries from? I mean for me it’s depends on my mood, but most of the time I get fries from the golden arches. However my absolute favorite fries were the home made ones my dad made when I was a kid. He even has, or maybe still has, a french fry cutter that seriously looks like some sort of torture device. They were always cooked to perfection with just the right amount of salt. I with move on to the credits before I sit here and carry on about fries all day. And remember ladies…Fries before guys 😉

The coffee bar that is. Okay so maybe it’s more of a coffee house. When I saw this dress it reminded my of the 90’s. This was a time when I was hitting up the coffee houses all over my drinking a cappucino, and flirting away. Now I brew my coffee at home and make it strong! I am also a lot older than I was back then. I have been sitting on this photo for about a month and will admit after seeing ads for the Friends reunion that I knew I had to post this…finally.

Before I knew the title of the Bard Queen’s Quest, which happens to be The Language of Birds, I was inspired by this tree to take a bird themed photo. It also gave me an excuse to wear a pretty dress and accessories. Now the faire doesn’t last too much longer so if you want to get questing you better get hopping!
