You may be looking at me and thinking “Hey that looks like an emo cupid”, and you wouldn’t be too far off the mark, I guess. You see I am sort of the anti-cupid. It’s not that I am against love or anything like that. I am more of Cupid’s cleaner. You see sometimes he gets a little overzealous in his match making and puts together people that DO NOT belong together. You will hear humans refer to it as “falling out of love”, but really, it’s just me correcting Cupid’s mistakes. I would say Cupid is only human and prone to mistakes like all humans, but since he’s not, that excuse doesn’t fly. Unlike Cupid himself who does. Sorry that was a terrible demi-goddess joke.

Hopefully I will never see any of you, since you will never see me when I am on Earth.

I was going to title this post “Please Don’t Eat The Daisies”, but then my dirty mind kicked in and I thought it wouldn’t be nice of me to dictate what someone does with the daisies. And Yes I am that kind of cheese that I made the hair match the flowers, well as best I could anyway. These adorable daisy outfits are currently available at…you guessed it, Fantasy Faire! If you wanna have some fun with someone you can actually pluck the petals. Since I didn’t have anyone around at the time my petals were left unplucked. Panic Flamingo Tryouts

Every year before Fantasy Faire opens they send out a Panic Flamingo. This year I thought why not be the Panic Flamingo? So I held open auditions and only told myself and the only other competitor, the coffee flamingo. I started off strong with the pink feathers and offering of refreshments. I did make a misstep when I referred to the role as the Panic Chicken instead of flamingo. I don’t know why my brain wants it to be a chicken so bad!

My second mistake came during the question and answer round. The question that got me into the most trouble was “What would you do to help motivate creators”. The coffee-mingo said something about encouraging words and fresh coffee on demand. A very diplomatic answer I guess, but would that really motivate them? My answer caused a bit of an uproar and phrases being tossed about like “creating a hostile work environment”, “You can’t assault creators” and “You need to leave…Now”. All I said was that I would pelt them with day old scones if they were slacking off. I mean all the hard working ones would get fresh pastries and tea, or coffee I guess. So my dreams of being the Panic Flamingo were dashed, but read on because I may have gotten my revenge.

You see after my crushing defeat and swearing never to pull a stunt like this again I was approached by these little fellas (fellas being a non-gender specific use here). They told me if I wanted a sneak peek at all the Fantasy Faire happenings and maybe a idea of what the realms will be they have the hook up. It will only cost me some waffles and wootberry syrup. Now waffles are easy to come by, even I know how to make them, but I was troubled by the wootberry syrup. Was is faire slang for some illegal substance, was it just a flavor I had never heard of before? In the end I just mixed some blueberry, strawberry and maple syrup together and presented it with the waffles. They seemed will to tell me where to get the information so now I am sharing with you. And no it’s not because I am petty.

Not Ready to Say Goodbye

We got a little sneak peek at the cold winter we are to expect here in the south last week and let me say it makes me want to hold tight to fall (I mean I do have a little bit till it’s officially winter). I will however happily trade pumpkin spice lattes for peppermint mochas. Of course, I don’t have to miss out on seeing geese because in theory because this is the south they fly to in the winter. I have already seen a flock by the pond near my home.

Last but certainly not least we have our water witch. Coming up with a familiar for her was a bit more challenging. I mean a shark would be an awesome familiar to have, but you are a bit limited on how it would be able to help given that it needs a large body of salt water. Let’s be fair it basically eliminates all fish from the familiar equation, so we need to look at amphibians. That led me to the golden poison dart frog. Most people may not keep a poisonous frog as a pet, but I am sure a little spirit magic could mask it. Who wouldn’t want a beautiful but deadly familiar? Not to mention I happen to be a huge fan of poison dart frogs of every color.

Not Before Coffee

This is a common phrase in my house. My brain does not want to work until I have finished that first cup of glorious bean water in the morning. I may even have a coffee mug or two that reflect this. I would say it’s an addiction, but really I drink coffee for the general public…and because I can’t do jail time.

I can’t lie, sometimes when my brain isn’t firing properly I become the queen of malapropisms. It can cause quite the embarrassment especially if I am in the drive thru attempting to order my much needed coffee. That is why most days it is safer for me to make coffee at home, sometimes I even get dressed like a normal person to do it!

Taylor may have felt twenty-two, but today I am channeling my inner seventeen year old. I say that because when I saw this outfit at Kustom9 a couple months (I think) ago it reminded me of my youngest child in the non-digital world. Their haircut may not be the same, but it is dyed the same. And they are forever wearing boots of some style, but you don’t want to know about my child’s wardrobe.

Well that was interesting. As I was writing this post my mouse decided to roll over and die. Sometimes life just doesn’t want me to be productive I swear. I think I am going to just get to the credits before something else decides it wants to get in on the fun!

Always a Good Time…

For cookies! At least to me it’s always a good time for cookies. I mean there are such things as breakfast cookies so that means they are good anytime of day. Generally I don’t do milk with my cookies, unless it’s an Oreo and I am in the mood for dunking.

On cold days in the winter I love to bake because it warms up the house, makes it smell good and leaves me with something delicious to eat. In fact it was cold in my non-digital life yesterday so I baked some brownies. I may have even had one as a midnight snack, but don’t let cookies know I cheated on them! That is enough rambling from me. I will be back with a blogging vengeance (no for real!) as soon as I am house guest free.

Cold Outside

Christmas may be over, but that doesn’t mean that winter is over, not even close (well at least here in the northern hemisphere). In fact it’s freezing cold here in the south, literally. Luckily where I live we don’t get snow or else no one would know what to do!

Warm blankets, a roaring fire (that is not what I am called when mad, I swear) and some battery powered lights can create a cozy little feeling when the snow is falling and the power is out. If one has to get snowed in in a remote cabin being stuck there with someone you love can make it at least a little more fun.

While it may look like we are headless, I assure you we are just bundled up nice and warm. I mean maybe later things will look a little different when we explore other ways to stay warm, but for now blankets and a warm fire will have to suffice.
