If you were to shower me with gifts this Valentine’s Day I would tell you books are best. Chocolate doesn’t last and flowers will die, but a good book will live on. Also I just enjoy curling up in a cozy corner and reading. I have even been known to put in my earbuds and listen to some ambient noise to pretend I am reading on a boat. I may be strange, but that is a okay.
So if your significant other is a book lover maybe create a cozy little nook and fill it with books and their favorite cozy beverage of choice…oh and snacks DO NOT forget the snacks! You may not be able to give them a whole library ( thanks Disney for setting that standard), but a book nook would be a very close second. Even though Valentine’s Day has passed just know that I love all of you and you should love yourself too!
Do you remember when the round croissant was the MUST HAVE breakfast treat for insta photos such? It wasn’t that long ago right? Well Here I am in the city with a latte and my round croissant. When I was in NYC last June I went to an Italian bakery and they had croissant cubes! Of course I had to get one because, just because it was too cool not to, and I love carbs so it was a win-win for me. I wish I had taken a picture before I dove into it. It was raspberry filled and just magical.
I am pretty sure that if chocolate had been an available cube flavor I would have taken that one back to the hotel too! I wish I looked this fabulous when my non-digital bum was in the city. I however was in shorts and sneakers since it was summer. Maybe next time. Anyway if you have a chance to eat a non-traditional shaped croissant I say do it! Heck even “normal” croissants need to be eaten. I may just be hungry at this point so credits for you and food for me.

Happy Halloween all you spooky scary skeletons. Or for those of you who aren’t in a place that celebrates, Happy Thursday. I will admit Halloween and Christmas are my favorite holidays because I love to decorate for them both. This year the yard is not as decorated as it has been in the past thanks to hurricanes and the fact that I did not clearly label my decorations so I have no idea which one has all my spooky decorations. I couldn’t let today pass with out some nod to the day so I went with a witchy vibe.
I think the scariest thing about this whole picture is that I am looking an arcane library looking for a spell to do something. Will it be something nefarious or something curative? Honestly I think it depends on whether I have had enough coffee to make me a nice person to be around. Speaking of that I should go and get more into me before I turn into a total ghoul for the day!
Recently while cleaning my desk I found a list of photo ideas I had at some point. I decided that I would try and complete that list of ideas and this is one of them. I was inspired by the horns dripping with honey. Also with Fantasy Faire starting later next month I need to get my fantastical-ness going!
I admit that I owed almost 95 percent of the items for this photo before taking it but I did decide I needed special honey earrings. What can I say when I pick a theme I go a little hard.
I know I am back and dressed in pink and with blonde hair, but with the Barbie movie coming out this week how could I resist?
I based this look very loosely off the previews from the movie and from the 90’s rollerblading Barbie doll. In my head Barbie is just casually rollerblading on the boardwalk when she gets thirsty and stops for a nice refreshing strawberry milk. Listen she likes pink and milk does a body good or something like that. Only this milk tastes funny to Barbie!
Oh my goodness it’s rice milk! In my mind Barbie has never had rice milk because well Barbie can do anything, like consume lactose. So of course a non-dairy alternative to milk would come as a complete shock to her. I know it’s silly, but that is what I aim to do, make you laugh. Happy Monday everyone!
I am going to start by showcasing the most talked about cow in all the fairelands and then moooove onto my adventures. Sorry I couldn’t pass up the chance at that pun. Now when I arrived at Fairelands Junction I followed the path to see the Worldlings since they are one of my favorite things. I have plans for a special photo with those later so stay tuned. I think I wandered counter clockwise as my faire alter ego of the day Emogene the Emo Elf.
As I was wandering I came across a bunch of dragon hatchlings, but I wasn’t about to stick around to see if the mama or papa would be returning soon. I didn’t want to be dragon chow before the faire really got going!
I continued on my way, and as I wandered I decided to play a special game. It was called “How many times can I mess up?”, and I decided to count the number of times I got lost, crashed, or just fell through things. For the record I was there for blogger day which is before the faire opens to everyone so there were growing pains that caused falling into spaces (only 4 times!) Now some fairelands are not for the faint of heart, or being high as a kite. I had surgery on my hip a little over a week ago so pain meds are my friends.
You can see how something like this would mess with your head. It still freaks me out a little if I am being honest. Now when I was at the fair there were a few sims that were still dressing and asked for no photos and I had to respect their wishes so there are some sims that will be a complete surprise. Then again so will these since I didn’t tell you which ones they are. Think of it as a special little scavenger hunt to keep you entertained as you shop and wait for the quest to begin!
There is one sim that has a genie and man that one was giving me issues. I am pretty sure the genie cursed my computer because every time I tried to get a photo of him my computer would glitch and crash (total number of cursed crashes 5). So I cheated and used a different computer and got a picture and then everything was fine. For the record it was an issue with my computer and not the sim.
You didn’t think I would not post a picture of the genie did you? After completing my battle with the genie I adventured onwards some more. I only got lost a three times which I think is a record low for me. Yes there are paths you can follow so you doing get lost, but I am likely to get distracted by anything that catches my eye and I wander off the path. A big bad wolf would have a field day with me, luckily I didn’t run into any of them…yet.
I don’t know what this fairy was going through, but man I was starting to feel her. As I stated earlier I had hip surgery recently so getting tuckered out is easy to do. Next week I will have a full round up of all the things I have done during the first week of the faire so stay tuned for that. Oh and let me know if you spot any of the places from my photos!
I know I can feel something here, I just can’t see it. I feel like I am being followed, but there is no one around. Whatever could it be? It’s a ghost of course! I tend to joke around that when the cats are staring at the wall they are watching a ghost. I have named that ghost George, not named after any friends I assure you. I have always loved watching tv shows and movies about ghosts as my previous Beetlejuice themed post may have clued you in to.

Somedays the idea of being alone on an island in really appealing to me, but then reality sets in and I remember I have no survival skills. When I saw this outfit I got Marianne vibes, you know that lady from Gilligan’s Island? No? Well go forth and Google dearest and you will get the idea. So it’s not identical, but you understand how I came to the idea.
Of course when one is stuck on an island the only thing there is to do is make a coconut drink. Hopefully you have some rum or something on hand to make it a little more…more.If anyone knows of an island with great food and drinks and very few people let me know! I could really use a nice vacation.

It’s Tuesday which means I will be showing off my picture(s) for the BVN Blogger/Vlogger Challenge. This weeks theme was/is ” You Can Leave Your Hat On”. There were so many idea that went through my head, but this is the one I settled on.
I will admit I may have had a gummy before I took the picture or when I had the idea for it or both. I was aiming for something “artistic”. I just used windlight magic to take the photo, only photoshopping done was to crop the picture.

The coffee bar that is. Okay so maybe it’s more of a coffee house. When I saw this dress it reminded my of the 90’s. This was a time when I was hitting up the coffee houses all over my drinking a cappucino, and flirting away. Now I brew my coffee at home and make it strong! I am also a lot older than I was back then. I have been sitting on this photo for about a month and will admit after seeing ads for the Friends reunion that I knew I had to post this…finally.
